Having trouble paying your energy bill? Support programs are available for customers who are struggling with their bill payments. You need to meet certain criteria to qualify for these programs: To avoid late payment charges and potential disconnection of service contact CWH to explore payment options.

  • Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)
    This program provides help to low-income consumers with a monthly on-bill credit to reduce their electricity bill. This program provides ongoing help.
  • Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)
    This program provides a one-time grant towards your electricity or natural gas bill if you are behind on your bill and may face having your service shut off. It is for emergency situations.
  • Rules to protect low-income customers
    Electricity utilities, unit sub-meter providers and rate regulated natural gas utilities follow customer service rules specific to low-income customers. These include waiving security deposits, and allowing longer payment times under arrears payment plans.
